Suranaree
University of Technology (SUT),
Thailand’s first public autonomous university, aims to promote internal and
external efficiency and academic freedom in its operations and to form a
community of scholars in the arts, sciences, and the technology,
benefiting both the individual and society. It

Location Suranaree
University of Technology is
located in Nakhon Ratchasima Province about 260 kilometers northeast of
Bangkok. Student
Statistics In 2002, SUT
student enrollment totaled 5,318 with 4,878 in the undergraduate programs
and 440 in the graduate programs. Curricula SUT has now
offered a total of 45 programs: 21 undergraduate and 24 graduate programs. The University’s term is the trimester, lasting 13
weeks. Each academic year is divided into three trimesters. Graduate Admissions The University
admits graduate students through selection and interview. Consideration is
given to educational background; academic and work experience. Annual student fee

Korat’s attractions include the spectacular Khmer stone sanctuary Prasart Hin Pimai, the best quality silk from the silk weaving village in Pak Tongchai District, the Dan Kwian ceramic pottery village and Khao Yai National park, a UNESCO world heritage site containing one of the last remaining tracts of moist evergreen forest in the Pakchong District.
