American Pacific International School was Chiangmai's first
internationally-accredited boarding school when it was established in 1997.
American Pacific International School provides a boarding program for
students from the age of six years through to graduation in Grade 12.
American Pacific International School(APIS) is a caring international
community that nurtures a love of learning and life-long inquiry. APIS
provides an inspiring academic and student life curriculum, where
international diversity and our host culture are celebrated. We believe in
developing our students self-esteem and encouraging healthy, ethical
lifestyles.
The APIS curriculum is designed to produce graduates who are inquirers,
knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring,risk-takers,
balanced, and reflective individuals.
American Pacific International School is accredited by WASC (the Western
Association of Schools and Colleges) and is authorized by the International
Baccalaureate Organization to deliver its Primary Years' Programme (IBO-PYP)
from Kindergarten through to Grade 5.
The Middle School Program is derived from similar programs in the United
States and forms a bridge between PYP in the Elementary School and the High
School diploma to which students work in Grades 9-12. A range of Advanced
Placement courses are also offered
